North Plains Reservoir and Pump Station No.2

The North Plains Reservoir and Pump Station No. 2 project is complete, and the new two million gallons above-ground water storage tank and pump station are in action, serving North Plains' water needs well into the future.

Our work included:

  • A new 1.0 MG steel water storage reservoir

  • A new pump station

  • Concrete soil mix ground improvements

  • A new control system

  • Instrumentation/control improvements at three auxiliary sites

The new water reservoir and pump station, located on NW West Union Road, about ½ mile east of the intersection with NW Glencoe Road, increases drinking water storage in town, helps bring water service to new homes and businesses, and provides adequate water flow for fire emergencies. Since both structures are deemed "critical infrastructure," they are supported by 80' underground concrete columns that are in place to help provide additional stability during a significant seismic event. This site will also house a future Public Works facility and Emergency Operations Center.
