Sutter Basin Flood Risk Management Project Cypress Ave to Tudor Rd.
US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Sutter Basin Project involved repairs to nearly five miles of critically deficient Feather River west levee between Tudor Road and Cypress Avenue in south Sutter County, California. Repairs included the installation of cutoff walls as deep as 135 feet into the existing levee. These improvements provide:
200-year flood protection
Saving property owners money on flood insurance
Avoiding land use restrictions
Protecting property values
Great Lakes Environmental & Infrastructure was the Prime Contractor; Raito was selected as the cutoff wall subcontractor based on competitive pricing and extensive Northern California levee experience. Raito’s expertise includes over 2.3 million square feet of cutoff wall in Northern California with depths up to 135.
